The permit is another big game fish who feeds near the reef and coastal tidal flats.  A great fighter on medium to light tackle and a true trophy for the serious fishermen.  Crustaceans, bait, jigs and plugs lures are best for a chance to hook a permit, but have lots of asprin on hand for muscle pain!
