Despora is a majestic world brought to the brink of destruction by an epic war, 
	where heroes strive to rediscover its lost glory.

	The gods are believed dead, killed at the climax of the Epic War. The lack of 
	any manifestations and the failure of Commune type spells seems to confirm this. 
	Yet divine spellcasters still receive their spells. If the gods are indeed dead, 
	who or what is granting these spells? 

	In the wake of the devastation wrought by the Epic War, nations and empires ceased 
	to exist and cities were leveled and abandoned. The once mighty nations are now 
	nothing more than petty holdings and minor baronies.

	As a result of the Epic War, all Divine and Arcane spellcasters were destroyed. 
	It has been a long, slow climb of rediscovery. The magic is there; it has just 
	to be found.
