Campaign Notes:
(Date of Session Dec 19 and 26 and January 2)
After spending a few restful days in town, the group is getting ready to press on. This due to the fact that the group is short on ready coinage and
Loran is pushing the group to get going to recover the staff. Before the leave though, Bosh recognizes a friend, named Laelith, back from Gate City.
They invite here to join them. So the band of adventures return back to the entrance. They find another band of horses stuck are stabled near the
entrance, so they stable further on from the main entrance. They entcounter little trouble other than carefully bypassing a yellow worm, that they
did before.
Eventually they work back to the stairs they last left. They find a sparring room with some dead guards and weaponry. Pressing on they uncover some
sleeping quarters of guards and priests based on various items like weapons and prayer books. The group then encounters a chapel, while exploring it
A wight bursts and from under the alter and attacks and after a quick fierce battle kills it. They move on through a couple of more rooms and kill
a group of rats.
Traversing through a narrow tunnel hidden in room with the rats in the room they find one of the doors from the room covered in frost. Choosing to
explore in the other rooms first. They kill a couple of ghouls feasting on dead bodies. They then turn to the frosty door, opening they are blasted
with wall of cold air. Bosh closes the door, and Loran heals Zarin up so he can move. Loran and Jedson recognize it as brown mold, and that burning
it would be bad, Dar'Lok suggests a Ray of Frost. So the group readies and opens the door again and Dar'Lok casts the spell and collapses at the
completion of it. when they open the door they find the mold covered in frost.
Inside the hall they find a frozen orc, after recovering it they find a few odd items like, armor, shields, weapons and oddly enough a feather. Continuing
to search they wrap around to where they've explored. They past the mold and press on deeper into the ground. Exploring the next level, (the stairs
continued deeper) they find several areas of rooms of coffins, both ransacked and not. They also find continued evidence of an orc raiding party. Also
after that they find the tomb of someone called Rumpel the Swordsman. They discover his true tomb, and while ransacking, a smokey creature bursts forth
from urn. A tense battle later, the wraith is dispatched.
(Date of Session Jan 9 and 16)
The group needing rest, camped for the night in Rumpel's Tomb. Awakened and refreshed the pressed on exploring several more collective tombs another
prayer room to Jubilex and dispatched an undead minotaur and shadow, they also search the room which looks to contain the tomb of Keynra who was labeled
a savior and betrayer. Bosh senses evil in the room, and with a little effort the eventually manage to get the Shadow hiding in there to reveal itself.
The only ones really having any effect against the shadows have been Dar'Lok and Jedson, which is leaving Bosh, Laelith, and Loran feeling a bit down.
In the battle with the second shadow, it seemed to take delight and savaging Loran leaving him weak as a kitten. They rested through the afternoon and
overnight to allow Loran to recover. After praying to Pelor and recovering most of the spent strength they press on. They continue on down the stairs to
discover a large skeleton strewn room. That contains a couple large basins filled with a very shallow layer of scummy water. They search a couple of
what appears to be trophy rooms dispatching a large skeleton. Moving on they find a door that has a large irregular hole in the base with a small area
devoid of skeletons around the door. Upon opening the door, they see a group of ghouls come around the corner.

The fight with the ghoul and the ghast that was there, was short. The band of intrepid adventures make a quick run back to Crimson Moor to stash most of the
treasure back there and then return to tomb. The group finds a bunch of skeletons in a pair of large pits. In a nearby room, Bosh is attacked by a large
Ooze, about all it manages to do is destroy his sword. In another nearby room that is fairly oppulent, they destroy 5 skeletons and find a long dead body
of wizard. In another room close by they find headless bodies an room filled with flying skulls that shriek and attack. Pressing on after dispatching them,
they find an ornate tomb with braizers and statudes. They light the braizers to see if anything happesn but nothing does. They leave the tomb alone after
noting it was sealed with lead. Then continuing they break down a sealed up arch way and find a room with 4 coffins containing dead ogres, and then find a
room with nearly 2 dozen coffins.
Moving to the south of the large skeleton filled room they move down a long hall way and out into a large antechamber. The group moves to the center of
the room and then are attacked by 4 very large bats. They bind continue on, finding and destroying a room full of zombies. The rest and bind their wounds
there before continuing on. Another room across the antechamber they find another room full of zombies, that Dar'Lok takes out with a large blast of fire.
Moving out the door at the back of there room they find 3 storage rooms of copper urns, some candles and incense.
Continuing to the west they find another ornate tomb, sealed with lead and a couple copper urns sealed with a glossy substance. They choose not to disturb
the tomb and continue the quest for the staff. A bit later the find a room with set of staird down with a faded chalk messaging saying the treasure is
below. Moving down the stairs they trigger a trap and nearly everyone (all but Jedson) end up slidding into a deep pit as the stairs turn into a steep ramp.
They manage to get out of that room and then discover an odd room with 3 statues, a human female in robes, a dwarven warrior with the arms broken and
chicken like creature between them.
They return to the large antechamber and then into another room. This one too is full of zombies, that Dar'Lok takes care of with a ball of fire. A quick
mop up the survivors and they move into another temple prayer room. From their they find aonther large room, this one has three minotaurs rooming around
in it. As the group moves out into the room, they charge. A vicious battle erupts. In the midst of it another group arrives and aids in the dispatching of
them. The second group is lead by a halfling priest of Hextor, with 3 other humans and half-ogre. The second party tries to persuade the group to retire
away and let them pass. Which is not taken very well. The battle is joined with the halfling priest, and a pair of humans killed as well. Although Jedson
had to run one down for about 5 minutes before he caught him. There are no casulaties for the main group. Two others have eluded the group.
