West Coast Swing Alaska (WCSA), is a unique, new, non-profit dance club, primarily dedicated to the growth and development of West Coast Swing dancing and modern (club) social dances to include, but not limited to: Hustle, NightClub Two-Step, Cha-Cha, Two-Step, Waltz and Salsa in Anchorage. We are a newly formed organization, soliciting members at this time to be a part of the growth of this dance community, by offering and promoting:
a) Social Functions:To provide a location and friendly atmosphere in which members can enjoy WCS and other dancing. By holding dances, and events where members can regularly meet to learn, practice, and develop their dancing skills.
b) Education: To conduct classes to teach West Coast Swing and other dancing and improve standards throughout. To sponsor seminars and events featuring professional guest instructors to improve the overall dance technique and abilities of the membership.
c) Propagate WCS Dancing: Working with other clubs and dance groups in exchanging ideas, attending conventions and functions, fostering inter-club relationships and generally promoting a thriving, diverse social dance community in Anchorage.
