May 5 Trashathon New record number of lawns done in 1 day. We rake, mow, and clean 28 lawns. Wow! Special thanks go to the home and business owners who supported Rangers in our big fund raiser. Many thanks and may God bless you richly. To see photos click here

Nov 10 Saturday Rangers finish up the Firecraft Merit. Boiled eggs and lots of smoke on a really chilly morning. We took pictures too. Click here to see them.

Oct 6-7 Camp In Camping is indoors at MCA. Bring a sleeping bag and a tent if you want and we'll have some fun. Wear a white T shirt to play the glow in the dark games. More info is available by clicking here.

Oct 1Chili Fest This fund raiser pays for much of the Ranger program. Please bring a big pot of chili to MCA and after the service we'll serve you a bowl with all the trimmings.More info

Sep 16 Saturday Rangers For you guys in Jr and Sr High we are trying something new. So you can still go to RUSH and other youth activities we are going to Saturdays for you. The schedule has to work around other events at MCA. We will start at MCA and we might be going out to various places. The time will be early Saturday, 9:00 to 12.00. For more click here.

Sep 21-24 FCF Trace The old timers and young bucks will rendezvous at the North Pole camp for a real shining time of life in the good old days of the 1820s. Fill your powder horn and pack your possibles cuz its coming soon.

Sep 6 Ranger Kids and Discovery Rangers meet every Wednesday starting tonight at 7:00pm.

Aug 30 Registration for the new year of Rangers. Meet the Commanders in the gym at 7:00pm.

June 9- 12 Pow Wow We travel to the Alaska District Royal Ranger Training Camp near North Pole for 4 days of fun.

May 19-20 2006 Round Up for Ranger Kids We will return to Otter Lake on Ft Richardson for some serious fun. Nature walks, crafts, canoeing, fishing, games and activities. You can check our past Round Up

Jan 22 2005 Ice Fishing at Mirror Lake- Hi everyone; Well its time for our annual ice fishing trip to Mirror lake this coming Saturday. We'll meet at 10am and dismiss by 2pm. Rangers will provide the bait. There will be a warm-up vehicle in the parking lot and plenty of fishing holes to chose from. Dress really warm, snowsuit if available otherwise coat, hat, boots, gloves, and long under wear so that your Ranger stays warm. Remember if it's below 0 degrees we'll cancel for a warmer time.

Sep 20 2004 Registration for Rangers Parents and Rangers registered for the coming year. Patrols met for Ranger Kids, Discovery Rangers, Adventure Rangers, and Expedition Rangers.

Aug 29, 2004 Parade of Ministry Light the Night was our theme as Commander Chuck created night in the gym. We all look forward to Rangers starting up on Sept 20th. FCFers don't forget that Trace is the 23rd.

July 2004 Road to FCF Village. After many difficulties caused by SEQUENCES the right equipment and material got to the right work crew at the right time. God is good. With a lot of hard work, the road across the creek is in. The problem was putting in the drainage culverts. Check it out.

June 6 2004, Tom Chapin Honored Master Sergeant Chuck Bohling held a special presentation to honor Viet Nam Veteran Tom Chapin. Tom went to war and fought for his country. He was never recognized for his service and sacrifice in this unpopular war. This situation was rectified at a special presentation during Pow Wow. Read more

June 5-8 2004 Pow Wow Over 80 Rangers and Commanders from all across the state met at the new Alaska District Royal Ranger Training Center. We played, worked, hiked, swam, cooked, and built camp. Visit the web pages by clicking here and you can see the whole event.

May 28, 2004 17 Dump Trucks Fix the Road Gravel from near by was hauled in to stabilize the road surface. Things are drying up fairly fast too. Even the mosquitoes are being taken care of by the Skeeter Vacs. Read More

May 24, 2004 Pow Wow Patch Unveiled. This years theme is "To Build A Camp" and the patch is ready. The patch also serves as a map of the campground. Have a look. Work at camp continues. District Commander Art Braendel reports that the road to camp and the new road through camp have some soft spots. DOT is being contacted to see what can be done.

May 22, 2004  Round Up is the first camp of the year for most of these Ranger Kids. We set up our lodges on the shores of Otter Lake on Ft Richardson and had a great time in God's great outdoors. From cooking our hot dogs for dinner to the last event in the Hootinanovitch, the time we spent together was special. This South Central Sectional event was attended by Rangers and Commanders from South Anchorage Assembly, Calvary Assembly, and Muldoon Community Assembly. Full Story

May 8, 2004 Trash-a-thon was the biggest and best yard raking marathon ever. Through the concerted efforts of the men and boys of Outpost 20 we set a record for yards done in 1 day. 21 yards had the leaves raked, the trash picked up or the grass mowed by our devoted crew of workers. May 3-Construction Begins At Camp   The guys up north got in with the big cats 2 weeks ago. Check it out.

May 1 Round Up Plans are ready for the south sectional Ranger Kids Round Up Camp at Otter Lake. Be sure to bring your drivers license, vehicle registration, and insurance card to get a visitors pass at the gate to Ft Richardson. Then head through the base toward Otter Lake. Take the left right after you cross the rail road tracks. Watch for the Ranger Sign. More and a map

Apr 30 2004 Trash-a-thon- Sign up sheets for our big fund raiser are available. Permission slips were passed out to Discovery, Adventure, and Expedition Rangers at the 4-26 meeting. Full Story

April 15 2004  Senior Commander Niemann's Newsletter-Hello Rangers, Commanders, and Parents.  Pinewood Derby was a huge success. We had the best race ever. Thanks go out to all the Moms and Dads that helped make cars. They were truly amazing in craftsmanship and originality. Full Story

Mar 20, 2004 Alaska District Results. WOW! What a great day. After all my worrying the Lord worked everything
out and we had the best race ever. The cars were the fastest ever. The design judging was  more difficult than ever because the cars were so totally amazing. I didn't see any wrecks but I bet even they were spectacular. We had Outposts from all over the state. Full Story

Mar-15-2004 Pinewood Derbies- Rangers, Missionettes and adults from all over Alaska raced pinewood cars at Muldoon Community Assembly. The cars were amazing, the races faster than ever, the crashes were spectacular but the fellowship and new friendships were more lasting than the trophies carried away that day. Full Story

Feb. 5-7 2004 Alaska District Quyurrtequ Winter Gathering- Rangers gathered on the shores of Lynda Lake at Little Beaver Camp for a few days of fun. The winter camp had many surprises. "Q" always ends before we are ready. The memory of Council Fire, time spent praying for each other, the skits, songs, yells and the encouragement we gained from looking deeply into God's Word, will last a lifetime.

Jan 2004 Council of Achievement- Rangers and Commanders have been working hard to earn merits. All age groups were honored at this event. Full Story

Dec 6- 2003 Commanders Roundtable Commanders met by teleconference at Art's and Scott's to plan our "Q" The theme "I Can Only Imagine is chosen unanimously. Patrols names are the things found in Heaven.

Sep 2003- New Ranger Camp Construction Begins-     Trace this year was one of many new frontiersmen, great fellowship and hard work as Commanders and Rangers broke ground on 40 of the most beautiful acres anywhere. The camp is just a few miles from our old one but much larger. It allows us to dream big dreams of an awesome camp.Full Story

Aug. 2003- District Commander Art Checks Out a Possible Campsite. Alaska District Commander Art Braendel checks on subsoil stability before considering buying the new parcel. He digs 6 test holes to locate gravel and permafrost areas. " I like what I see here" he says. Full Story
