OVERVIEW |
Elite Team/Advanced Junior Team/Intermediate High School - Age 14-20
Thank you for participating and supporting our program. I hope you had a lot of fun. Congratulations to all of you that participated in the many statewide and national level races.
Alaska Winter Stars provides programs for younger juniors, intermediate juniors, advanced juniors and masters. This year we will work towards individual type of workouts designed specifically for each athlete. Our main objective is to provide year-round professional training for cross country skiers and to improve not only their skiing level but also to provide physical education and activities in addition to junior sport programs at school. An active lifestyle is important for young people to develop good motor skills, and for masters to stay in good shape, extend mobility of joints, and exercise their cardiovascular system. Cross-country skiing provides an exercise for all major muscle groups, and it is one of the most beneficial forms of sports activity. For some athletes, our program will be just a fun form of sport activity in their daily life, and for some it will be in pursuit of a more serious cross-country career.
If you are interested in this program, we will need your registration and waiver forms submitted one week prior to the session you are signing up for. This is so that we can plan our workouts, line up coaches, and purchase equipment if needed.
Whatever the reason, we will assist you in reaching your goals and we hope that you find our program fulfilling.
