Young, George O. ALASKAN TROPHIES WON AND LOST.

Christopher. 1928.

FIRST EDITION

RARE

248 pp.

The great classic Alaska hunting book

George Young, a West Virginia state senator, made in 1919 an extensive and hazardous hunting trip into the Alaska wilderness. He nearly died on the trip, and his companion Dr. Evans died after reaching home, as a result of the hardships suffered on the trip.

Not to be confused with the 1947 second edition, which most people think is the first.

Very good condition.

(This item has sold, but I have another one available that's in nice condition. Ask for details, scans. It looks about as nice as the one here that sold. It has light foxing throughout, as is often usual with this book.)
