Charlie IS NOT retired and is still going strong!

2008:  Rumors were speculating around the circuit that Charlie has retired, but nothing could be further from the truth!  Although he's been working on his passion of oil painting, he still can be found in his shop doing what he loves...taxidermy!  The only thing that has changed this year is his gray beard and quest to run bare foot to Coldfoot, Alaska in -60 below temps currently being felt across interior Alaska!

Sportsman's Warehouse continues to draw a lot of fans of Charlie's past and present works of art while he takes a break from time to time to help the local kids in their hockey skills on the ice.    

Charlie continues to mentor his protégés around the country who have a deep passion for the art of taxidermy with his vast years of experience to the next generation of taxidermist with his unique style.  Still referred as "Woodrow" from Lonesome Dove, Charlie's visions of true wilderness speaks volumes in his work and still rings loud in his middle name of Alaska Wilderness Arts & Taxidermy. 

I miss my best friend and mentor and wish him a very successful year in hockey, taxidermy and fishing the waters of Alaska.  Fire him a email and maybe your next mount can be done by the Alaskan Mississippi Mountain Man.
