The Heron's Nest -- one of my favorite haiku journals -- available online and in hard copy. Check the latest issue and all of the archived issues online to get examples of some of the very best haiku being published today. Modern Haiku -- the oldest English-Language haiku journal, highly respected worldwide. When my first issue arrived, I immediately began ordering back issues, a few at a time. A most impressive journal, to be sure. Frogpond -- the official publication of the Haiku Society of America. Always an enjoyable read and a must-have in any haiku library. I have most of the back issues for this one too! Acorn- one of my very favorite haiku journals, with consistently high-quality haiku. |
Tobacco Road Poet - Curtis Dunlap has developed a truly entertaining Website, featuring his own work as well as that of many other poets. There is a daily haiku (and an archives), and a wonderful blog page where various haiku poets tell us why they write haiku, and share with us some of the favorites that they have written. tinywords sends a free daily haiku by e-mail to over 2,300 subscribers. The haiku is the entire message, so you can view these on handheld message devices too! f/k/a

| Mariposa is a wonderful little journal published by the Haiku Poets of Northern California. You don't have to live in northern California to become a member of HPNC -- but only members' work is published in the journal. |
Serge Tome's tempes libre/free
times is a very pleasing experience each time I visit. The
first time I saw one of my haiku translated into French, I felt so
special!
AND NOW: Serge has created a new website that features haiku poets who
live in northern climes:

Snapshot Press - Some of
the very best haiku publications available today, and some great competitions

truly beautiful!
