CIVIL AIR PATROL UNIFORM MANUAL

CAPR 39-1, 1 July 1997, is supplemented as follows:

This publication applies to units and members of the Alaska Wing CAP.

6-4c. The Alaska Wing Commander has authorized the following table in regards to the wear of optional military issued and non-military clothing for arctic-winter conditions not listed in CAPM 39-1.  When traveling outside Alaska, this supplement does not apply and only uniforms per CAPM 39-1 or the standard adopted by the host wing commander will be worn.  The proper wear of the uniform reflects not only upon the individual and the Civil Air Patrol as a whole.  In all situations, safety is paramount; judgment must be exercised as to the appropriate use of non-military clothing.  All clothing MUST be in good repair, and may only be worn over an appropriate CAP uniform.  Snow machine suits must be removed when operations are completed and member is in a climate controlled building.  Unit Commanders must enforce all stands listed in CAPM 39-1 and this supplement.
