CIVIL AIR PATROL SAFETY RESPONSIBILITIES AND PROGRAMS
CAPR 62-1, 1 March 1991, is supplemented as follows:
This publication applies to units and members of the Alaska Wing CAP.
Add the following:
1b. (Added) All Commanders in Alaska Wing will encourage participation in the FAA Pilot Proficiency Program.
2b.1 (Added) Each squadron will maintain a Pilot information File [notebook] pertaining to local hazardous conditions, operational procedures, and any other information the Squadron Commander deems necessary. Summaries of safety materials presented at safety meetings will be part of the file to insure that personnel not present at the safety meetings can read and initial these summaries.
2f. (Added) Each Commander will ensure that a copy of their Squadron’s internal Safety Survey is forwarded to the Wing Safety Officer by 1 May each year.
8a. (Added) At completion of each step of the Pilot Proficiency Award Program the Squadron Safety Officer or Commander will forward a copy of the award to the Alaska Wing Safety Officer.
8b. (Added) Furnish the Wing Safety Officer with current list of all FAA Accident Prevention Councilors assigned to the Squadron by 1 May of each year.
