MEMORANDUM FOR CAP/AK WING SQUADRONS

SUBJECT: Policy Letter No. 16

                  Alaska Wing Aircraft A & B Mission Refueling Policy

1. This memorandum is to state the Wing policy in regards to refueling during AFAM (Air Force Assigned Missions).

1. When refueling during an authorized “A” mission and prior to continuing with that mission, contact the releasing agency (i.e. AFRCC/AFNSEP) to verify that the mission is still in progress and that you are authorized to continue.

1)  If you fail to contact the releasing agency and the mission had been terminated for whatever reason, you may be held responsible for the cost of fuel plus the flying hour.

2.  BEAVER WING-Tip Tanks: (Reference the Beaver Flight Manual)

1. Review wing loading limitations on landing. (Section 4 of the POH, Operating

 Limits, Performance Data and Flight Characteristics).

3. There shall be no deviation from this policy without the prior written permission of the Wing Commander.
