SUBJECT: Policy Letter No. 17
Flight Suits Required for Glider Tow Pilots
1. This memorandum is to state the Wing policy in regards to the appropriate uniform to be worn by Glider Tow Pilots. Reference CAPR 60-1, para 2-9.
2. The Alaska Wing Commander has determined that the CAP, or USAF style, flight suit will be worn for all glider tow operations. The alternate/non-standard uniform approved for glider crews is not approved for crewmembers on powered aircraft, particularly during tow operations.
3. There shall be no deviation from this policy without the prior written permission of the Wing Commander.
