SUBJECT: Alaska Wing Policy Letter No. 2
CAPFLIGHT Call Signs
1. This policy replaces the policy letter of the same number and subject, dated 27 March 2000.
2. IAW CAPR 100-1, Vol. 1, para.7-15.d., dated 1 August 1996, CAP corporate aircraft will use “CAPflight” (pronounced “Cap flight”) at all times. Alaska Wing, member-owned aircraft will also use the CAPflight call sign when on reimbursable missions.
3. When using FAA flight plan forms, the call sign should be shown as “CPF _ _ _ _”. The actual N-number of the aircraft shall be stated in the “Remarks” section.
4. Attachment 1, Alaska Wing CAPflight Call Signs, lists all Alaska Wing CAPflight numbers. Squadron commanders are responsible for assigning the block of numbers allocated to member-owned aircraft within their unit.
5. Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for question, comments, and suggestions concerning this policy is “Emergency Services.
