SUBJECT: Alaska Wing Policy No. 22
Aircraft Restrictions on Cadet Orientation Flights
1. This is to mandate that only reimbursement Type 1, Type 2, and Type 3 are authorized to be used for Cadet Orientation Rides.( see CAPR 173-3, Attachment 1, for types of aircraft and horse power rating.)
2. If for some reason you deem it necessary to use a high performance aircraft (i.e. – Type 4, and Type 5) you must receive permission from the Wing Commander prior to using a high performance aircraft.
3. If the appropriate approval is not given by the Wing Commander, the squadron will be charged the difference between the higher cost aircraft and the authorized type stated in this policy for the flight time and fuel.
