Entering The Prayer Challenge (Day 1 - 9)
Feb 13 - 16 Day 1 / Feb 13:
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
Understand God has chosen us and will be with us in our desire for revival. No matter how far away revival seems, we are called according to his purpose. He desires for all to be saved, the harvest is ready, we need workers to bring in the harvest. He came to seek and save the lost. Pray: Ask God to help us see that the harvest is ripe. To take advantage of every open door that someone might be saved. While praying realize God is working with us according to his purpose concerning revival. Work with God, he is working with you.
Day 2 / Feb 14:
Philippians 4:19 (KJV)
19 But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
God owns it all. He made the heavens and the earth, all creatures great and small. He created man as a living soul and desires for man to come back to him. God has all the riches we will need in our service to him. He will supply our spiritual and physical needs as we pray for revival. He will lift you up when you get down, comfort you when you need comforting, bear your burden when your burden gets heavy. Pray: Ask God to give you strength to be victorious in the 40 Day Prayer Challenge. Help you when it seems to long to endure. Give you physical strength and comfort as you need it. Ask Jesus to bear your burdens and take away all your fear concerning witnessing and leading someone to him. God will supply your need by Christ Jesus.
Day 3 / Feb 15:
Ephesians 6:11 (KJV)
11 Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
The devil is always out to destroy God, his people and God's work. We must realize we can't become complacent and expect revival. The devil is like a roaring lion seeking whom he may devour. He never stops. Pray: Ask God to help us realize we need to put on his armour if we are to stand and make it to the end. Ask God to help you realize when you are under attack and let you stand against the wiles of the devil. Tell God we want revival! We desire for his Church to grow and we want to be used.
Day 4 / Feb 16:
Ephesians 6:12-13 (KJV)
12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. 13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.
Our armour is made to be worn; and we must not take it off until we have finished our warfare and completed our course. The battle is not against human enemies, or our own corrupt nature only; but we have an enemy who has many ways of deceiving unstable souls. The devils assault us in the things that belong to our souls, and labour to tarnish the heavenly image in our hearts. We must resolve by God's grace, not to yield to Satan. Resist him, and he will flee. Pray: Lord help me to realize we are in a spiritual battle until we are with you. We must not be caught up in the things of the world or treat lightly the things of the Spirit. Give us wisdom, guidance and strength to resist the devil that we will be victorious in our service to you.
Feb 17 - 23 Day 5 / Feb 17:
Ephesians 6:14 (KJV)
14 Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness;
"The belt of truth" is openness and honesty that create a climate of trust and unity. "The breastplate of righteousness" is moral purity. We must be open and honest with God, Church and ourself if we will see revival and God move in our life. Righteous, moral purity, we must strive for in our lives and the Church. God can lead us if we will be truthful with him and he will make you victorious if you strive for righteous. Pray: God help me to be honest about my desires and my dedication to you and your Church. Lord I desire to be pure morally and seek your righteousness in my life. Help me to Stand, in Truth and Righteousness.
Day 6 / Feb 18:
Ephesians 6:15 (KJV)
15 And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace;
Our feet should be ready with the Gospel of peace. We should have full acceptance of others, despite race or social class. This enables us to experience the peace Christ made between us through the Cross. Pray: Lord, help me to accept others and be willing to take to them the gospel. Let me bring peace to them through the gospel and love them when they don't love back. Let me be prepared with the gospel message and so they might find everlasting peace through Jesus Christ.
Day 7 / Feb 19:
Ephesians 6:16 (KJV)
16 Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked.
"The shield of faith" is confidence in the supreme power of Christ who is the head of the Church and our life.
Pray: Pray that you will honor him as the Lord of your life. Realizing you are able through Christ to overcome the wicked one and that Christ will protect you.
Day 8 / Feb 20:
Ephesians 6:17 (KJV)
17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:
"The helmet of salvation" is realization of our new identity in Christ as God's new creation. "The sword of the Spirit" is defined as the word of God. PRAY: That you fully accept who you are as a child of God, a new creature in Christ, an ambassador of Christ. Here to do his will on earth, lifting him up and glorifying him to a Godless world. Pray that you fully understand you need to use the sword of the Spirit "God's Word" and use it in your daily life to be a overcomer in Christ.
Day 9 / Feb 21:
Ephesians 6:18 (KJV)
18 Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints;
Prayer must fasten all the other parts of our Christian armour. There are other duties serving God, and of our stations in the world, but we must keep up times of prayer. Though set and solemn prayer may not be seasonable when other duties are to be done, yet short quick prayers always are so. We must use holy thoughts in our ordinary course. A vain heart will be vain in prayer. We must pray with all kinds of prayer, public, private, and secret; social and solitary; solemn and sudden: with all the parts of prayer; confession of sin, petition for mercy, and thanksgiving for favours received. And we must do it by the grace of God the Holy Spirit, depending on Him, and according to, his teaching.
We must pray, not for ourselves only, but for all saints. Our enemies are mighty, and we are without strength, but Jesus is almighty, and in the power of his might we may overcome. Wherefore we must stir up ourselves.
PRAY: God help us through prayer to fasten together the armour that you have given us. We need your help, grace and understanding that our life is protected with your armour. Keep me strong through your armour, Spirit, grace, and answered prayer.
"Praying Like The Saints in the Book of ACTS"
Praying for revival and building the kingdom (Day 10 - 35)
Day 10 / Feb 22:
Acts 1:14 (KJV)
14 These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brethren.
Pray: That the spirit of prayer will come upon each of us and saturate Anchorage Pentecostal Tabernacle.
Day 11 / Feb 23:
Acts 1:8 (KJV)
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Pray: For empowered witnessing. We need to have courage to witness to people and be willing to learn how to tell them about God and our church. Also pray that you will recognize a open door, be it a tiny crack opening in the door or gates to a city that have opened to you. God help us to recognize and take action.
Feb 24 - March 2 Day 12 / Feb 24:
Acts 2:1 (KJV)
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Pray: That we of Anchorage Pentecostal Tabernacle will humble ourselves and not only pray in one accord but be in one accord concerning the 40 Day Prayer Challenge and revival in APT.
Day 13 / Feb 25:
Acts 2:17 (KJV)
17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:
Pray: For the outpouring of the Holy Ghost in our Church. Each of us need to be renewed in the Holy Ghost and new people need the Holy Ghost. Ask God to send a Holy Ghost revival in our church!
Day 14 / Feb 26:
Acts 2:43 (KJV)
43 And fear came upon every soul: and many wonders and signs were done by the apostles.
Pray: That the fear of the Lord fall on the church. For " The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever." Psalm 111:10 (KJV)
Day 15 / Feb 27:
Acts 3:6 (KJV)
6 Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk.
Peter was bold and trusted God to minister through the name of Jesus. Pray: You are bold and minister God's salvation plan and his healing power to your friends, family, neighbors and contacts.
Day 16 / Feb 28:
Acts 4:32 (KJV)
32 And the multitude of them that believed were of one heart and of one soul: neither said any of them that ought of the things which he possessed was his own; but they had all things common.
Pray: That we will have apostolic giving to help the church family and our community as the needs arise. This will show our yielding to God and that we are humbling ourselves for his kingdom.
Day 17 / Mar 1:
Acts 5:12 (KJV)
12 And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people; (and they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch.
The apostles are our role models and were used to show that God is working in the church through his people.
Pray: That we have a increase in signs and wonders in our church. There are those that are sick among us, God can heal them. There are people we know that need to come to church and receive the Holy Ghost, God can deal with them. Whatever the need God CAN give victory.
Day 18 / Mar 2:
Acts 6:4 (KJV)
4 But we will give ourselves continually to prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
Pray: That we give ourselves to apostolic priorities, God, church, prayer, fasting, soul winning, building the kingdom of God.
March 3 - March 9 Day 19 / Mar 3:
Acts 28:3, 5, 9 (KJV)
3 And when Paul had gathered a bundle of sticks, and laid them on the fire, there came a viper out of the heat, and fastened on his hand.
5 And he shook off the beast into the fire, and felt no harm.
9 So when this was done, others also, which had diseases in the island, came, and were healed:
You will face adversity, we all do. Let God use it. Pray: Whatever adversity you encounter or the church encounter that it becomes an instrument of revival.
Day 20 / Mar 4:
Acts 10:2-3 (KJV)
2 A devout man, and one that feared God with all his house, which gave much alms to the people, and prayed to God alway. 3 He saw in a vision evidently about the ninth hour of the day an angel of God coming in to him, and saying unto him, Cornelius.
Pray: That each of us be devout believers knowing what we must do for God and Church.
Day 21 / Mar 5:
Acts 11:18 (KJV)
18 When they heard these things, they held their peace, and glorified God, saying, Then hath God also to the Gentiles granted repentance unto life.
Pray: For a spirit of praise among all the saints of Anchorage Pentecostal Tabernacle for what God is doing in our church, in our lives, and what he did through the "21 Days of Dedication" and is doing in this "40 Day Prayer Challenge" Let us Praise Him!
Day 22 / Mar 6:
Acts 12:1, 5 (KJV)
1 Now about that time Herod the king stretched forth his hands to vex certain of the church.
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
The King attacked the ministry. Killed James the brother of John and it pleased the Jews.
But prayer was made! God moved in and prevailed. Pray: For protection of the ministry from harm and danger.
Day 23 / Mar 7:
Acts 12:5 (KJV)
5 Peter therefore was kept in prison: but prayer was made without ceasing of the church unto God for him.
Pray: That the members of APT will pray without ceasing. We learned how important it is for revival in "Day 22".
Day 24 / Mar 8:
Acts 13:2, 4 (KJV)
2 As they ministered to the Lord, and fasted, the Holy Ghost said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work whereunto I have called them.
4 So they, being sent forth by the Holy Ghost, departed unto Seleucia; and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.
God will use each of us if we will let him. Pray: For the Holy Ghost to send us into the fields of our lives, for the harvest is ready and God wants a revival in his church. Pray that we see we are the missionaries to our community and the ones we have contact with each day.
Day 25 / Mar 9:
Acts 14:9-10 (KJV)
9 The same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed, 10 Said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.
Pray: That each of us allow the apostolic spoken word of faith to be manifested among us.
For God to give us courage to speak the word of faith when we perceive a person has faith for their physical or spiritual healing.
March 10 - March 16 Day 26 / Mar 10:
Acts 15:25,28 (KJV)
25 It seemed good unto us, being assembled with one accord, to send chosen men unto you with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 28 For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
Pray: That our Church will have apostolic unity and every visitor will be touched by the unity of the church and will desire to be part of a church that is in functioning in such unity and love.
Day 27 / Mar 11:
Acts 16:5 (KJV)
5 And so were the churches established in the faith, and increased in number daily.
Pray: For our church to be firmly established in the faith and that we increase in numbers daily.
Day 28 / Mar 12:
Acts 17:11 (KJV)
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
Pray: That the people we witness to and those that come into our church will receive the word with all readiness of mind, and search the scriptures daily, whether those things we preach are so. Pray that we get them in bible studies to help them search the scriptures.
Day 29 / Mar 13:
Acts 18:9-11 (KJV)
9 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace:
10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.
11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them.
Pray: That each of us have inspired vision to reach the many people in our lives and community.
Day 30 / Mar 14:
Acts 19:5 (KJV)
5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus.
People must be baptized in Jesus Name. Pray: That we have a revival of the revelation of baptism in Jesus Name.
Day 31 / Mar 15:
Acts 19:6, 11, 17, 20 (KJV)
6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied. 11 And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul:
17 And this was known to all the Jews and Greeks also dwelling at Ephesus; and fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified. 20 So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.
Pray: For the Holy Ghost to fall, Word to be effective, and the name of Jesus to be magnified in our church, on each of us and among those that God places in our lives.
Day 32 / Mar 16:
Acts 20:31 (KJV)
31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears.
Pray: That each of us have a passion for fulfilling the Great Commission of preaching the Gospel to every creature, especially reaching those in our lives.
March 17 - March 23 Day 33 / Mar 17:
Acts 21:13 (KJV)
13 Then Paul answered, What mean ye to weep and to break mine heart? for I am ready not to be bound only, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus.
Pray: That each of us in APT are committed to the gospel and the name of Jesus.
Day 34 / Mar 18:

Day 35 / Mar 19:
Acts 28:31 (KJV)

All of us need to preach and teach the gospel to whoever we find that will hear us.
Pray: That each of us will be empowered and anointed as we preach and teach the word of God.
"Affirming, Accepting and Applying The 40 Day Challenge"
Prayers to help us continue with revival praying after the 40 days
Day 36 / Mar 20:
Hebrews 12:1 (KJV)
1 Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
We must want to change. Hopefully by now you have developed a daily prayer habit and are well into our vision of revival and unity here at APT. Heb. 12:1 tells us to lay aside the weight and the sin that so easily (troubles, harass, assails) us. There is actually a way to lay aside every weight and sin that ensnares us. Forgiveness and walking in the faith is where you start.
Pray: For God to forgive you of any wrong doings and ask for forgiveness of past sins and failures. Ask God to help you lay aside the weight and the sin that so easily (troubles, harass, assails) you and help you serve him in patience.
Day 37 / Mar 21:
John 8:36 (KJV)
36 If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
Don't worry if you stumbled during the "21 Days of Dedication" or the "40 Day Prayer Challenge".
Don't look back but look forward for what you intend to do for God. Jesus has set you free from all that could hinder you. You can change!
Pray: God you have seen my short comings. Please help me to get up and over come my obstacles and be involved in this revival that we are expecting. You have set me free, help me to use my freedom for you.
Day 38 / Mar 22:
1 John 4:4 (KJV)
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
You will be victorious this year in reaching people, developing a better prayer life and participating in all the activities of APT. You know this because, no matter how weak or lack of assurance you feel, you are of God and have overcome because "greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."
Pray: For God to help you and keep you in your moments of weakness, lack of assurance or desire this year. Ask him to remind you that you are his and greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
Day 39 / Mar 23:
2 Corinthians 4:7 (KJV)
7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
We will have revival in our lives and the Church because our treasure of power is found in God and not in us. God could have sent angels to make known the glorious doctrine of the gospel, or could have sent the most admired sons of men to teach the nations, but he chose humbler, weaker vessels, that his power might be more glorified in upholding them, and in the blessed change that comes by their ministry. Pray: For God's power to work in our lives and in our church so we will have revival and each of our needs be meet.
March 24 - March 30 Day 40 / Mar 24:
Romans 8:37 (KJV)
37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.
APT let us have revival in our lives and the church! If each of us will apply what we have learned and done during the "21 Days of Dedication" and "40 Day Prayer Challenge" we will be victorious in our dedication to God and seeing revival come upon us. You are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ our Lord. Pray: That each of us will continue to pray daily and be used in reaching the lost. That we will accept our role in causing revival and do whatever we must for God to move in our church! Commit to the cause of revival. Be involved in growing the kingdom and Anchorage Pentecostal Tabernacle.
We are more than conquerors through him that loved us!
