HEAT OVEN TO 400 º.
MIX SHORTENING, SUGAR, EGG THOROUGHLY. STIR IN ORANGE JUICE
AND RIND.
MIX FLOUR, BAKING POWDER SODA AND SALT IN A SEPARATE BOWL.
ADD TO MIXTURE. BLEND WELL.
DROP ROUNDED TEASPOONS
OF DOUGH ABOUT 2” APART ON UNGREASED BAKING SHEET.
BAKE 8 to 10 MIN., OR UNTIL DELICATELY BROWNED ON EDGES.
FROST WITH BUTTER CREAM
ICING WHILE WARM.
