The last month of our school year has arrived and I can’t believe it! We have had the most fun year, thanks for sharing it with us.

In honor of Mother’s Day we will be having a Mother’s Day Tea Party on Thursday, May 8th and Friday May 9th. It will be from 10:45-11:30 a.m., and 2:15-3:00 p.m. Mothers, grandmothers, and anyone else who is special to your child is invited to attend for this special time of songs, and cookie decorating!

This month we will be doing units on mothers, and music. We are planning a fieldtrip to a recording studio/children’s music program. MJ Riemann, owner of Songs Take Flight, will share songs and give the kids a chance to try a variety of instruments. More information will be available soon.

Our last week of school will be spent doing a variety of our preschoolers favorite activities; making ooblick, cooking projects, and feet painting!

On Friday, May 23rd at Jewel Lake Park, we will be having our end of the year graduation celebration. We will have a bar-b-que and a visit from a magician! A sign-up sheet will be available if you would like to donate some food for our picnic. You can meet us at the park at 10:30 a.m.; we have it reserved until 1:30 p.m. We will start our graduation ceremony at 11:00 a.m. We hope you can attend!

Our summer program will be starting on Monday, June 2nd. If you or someone you know is interested in signing up for summer or fall we have slots available. During the summer we like to use recycled materials for various art projects. If you have any extra shoe boxes, paper towel rolls, juice cans, egg cartons, buttons, ribbon, stickers, tissue paper, or anything you think might be fun to use we would love to utilize them! We will be collecting these items during the month of May.

Glenda and I want to thank you so much for being a part of our school this year. We have enjoyed each of our classes so much! Good luck to all of our future kindergarteners. We look forward to seeing our returning students in the summer and fall.
