Weather:
Whatever you heard about the weather in Sitka, is probably true! The weather is very changeable here, but in general you can expect cool temperatures and coastal cloud activity. The local saying is that there is no bad weather, just bad clothing! A lot of heavy clothing is not needed - it is better to use layering and have a light set of rain gear available for your top layer. Most of the precipitation in the summer months is a light rain that invites the rainbows! |
