FOR CUB SCOUTS GOING TO CAMP:

1.  Meeting at the Cub Scout/Boy Scout Hut (by Horse Stables) at 5:30 pm on July 22, 2002 for a roll call.  Camp t-shirts will be passed out at that time.

2.  You can set up a tab at the camp store for your son so they can buy treats or whatever.  No more than $20 will be needed by each camper.  Let John or Tom know how much your son has so there are no problems.

3.  Parents are invited to visit during the week.  All they ask is that you sign in.

4.  On Friday night, they will be having a cookout and the boys will be putting on a skit.  Everyone is encouraged to stay and see how hard the boys have worked during the week.

5.  The camp theme is "Indians" and if you could donate these following items, it would be appreciated:  duct tape, boxes, paper bags, finger paint

The Bear Den is now Den 6 and the new Tiger Den is Den 1.

August 3, 2002 we will be planting tree seedlings.  This will help the boys achieve their World Conservation Patch.  This is for Wolf, Bear and Webelos Dens.  Tigers are not eligible for the World Conservation Patch.

August 10, 2002 is the next Pack Event.  This will be the day that for all campers will have an exchange of items that were taken home by mistake.  Also we are cleaning up the Scout Hut, so everyone wear old clothes.  We will be also cutting the grass that day.  The time frame is set for 10-4.  Transportation Squadron and Aurora Housing are donating items to the scout hut.  Each den is responsible for shift and food.  Also, a calendar will be put up for dens to schedule meeting times.  Normally, the Boy Scouts meet on Monday nights.

By next year, we will be moving out of the Scout Hut.  Trying to find a building with running water.  Should know more by next week.

There is also a hiking trail on the back side of the base.  It has picnic tables and benches on the trail.  Call John or Tom if you would like directions.
