Bear Country Lodge House 1&2Cordova Harbor

For a true Alaskan wilderness adventure, fishing, wildlife, hiking and boating, plan to visit Cordova and for memories that will last a lifetime stay in the Bear Country Lodge on the shore of Eyak Lake.

The Bear Country Lodge has two private, quiet, smoke-free houses on Eyak Lake. Both houses have fully equipped kitchens, wrap around decks with grills overlooking Eyak Lake, private phones & answering machine, TV, VCR/DVD players, . Our houses are very comfortable, clean and are decorated with many Alaskan items.  Children are always welcome.

The Bear Country Lodge is nestled amongst spruce trees and on the shore of Eyak Lake.  Spectacular views of the Queens Chair Mt. and pristine forest will take your breath away.

House #1
House #1 is a fully furnished 1 and 1/2 story house with a living room, fully equipped kitchen, and a bathroom.  There is one bedroom on the main floor that has a queen bed.  The loft has a queen and three twins. The living room has a queen size sofa-sleeper.

 House #2 House # 2 is a fully furnished cedar log house one story with a living room, fully equipped kitchen, bath room and two bedrooms.  One bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a queen bed and twin bunks.Side view of house #2View from house #2

Road Map

If you are coming in to Cordova from the Airport:

10 miles towards Cordova
Cross over Eyak River Bridge- Eyak Lake will be on your right side
Take the first side road on your right (towards Eyak Lake) about 1/4 mile past Eyak River bridge    5 Mile Loop Road 

Our house/office is the first one on the lake side (green).
The Bear Country Lodge is 6th house down the road on the lake side (right).
Across from the lodges driveway on the left side is a blue modular house.
Turn Right towards Eyak Lake, our driveway has a downward slope to the Lodge .

If you are on the side road & come to the intersection that puts you back on the Copper River Highway, you just passed us.

If you are coming in to Cordova from the Alaska Marine Highway:

Remain on the Copper River Highway through town on Main Street heading towards the airport .
As you leave town Eyak Lake will be on your left side.
3 miles from downtown Cordova turn left on side road 5 Mile Loop Road 

If you go over the Eyak River Bridge-You are about 1/4 mile too far.
The third house down the road on the lake side (left) are the lodges.
Across from the Lodges driveway on the right side is a blue modular house.
