Come and expand your unique Alaskan wilderness adventure in Cordova Alaska at the Bear Country Lodge
Enjoy the breathtaking views around Cordova,
located on the edge of the Chugach National Forest.

Cordova is a true outdoor paradise. Being off the beaten path of tourism, Cordova is a favorite with visitors looking for a special unique wilderness experience. The small commercial fishing community is surrounded by rocky snow capped mountains, glaciers, salmon streams, lakes and the largest wetlands on the west coast. The area is home to brown & black bears, moose, mountain goats, eagles, beavers and tens of thousands of water foul. Trumpeter swans gather and winter less than 1/4 of a mile down the road from the Bear Country Lodge at the Eyak Bridge
Hike, boat, float, drive, fly or be guided to experience this natural phenomenon of beauty and wild life. Cordova also faces islands and inlets forming a gateway to Prince William Sound and another world of adventure.
Twenty-seven miles out of town is the Copper River. You cross it bridge by bridge until you reach the Million Dollar Bridge where Childs Glacier calves huge blue ice burgs into the turbulent river.

Cordova is a small commercial fishing community, and a true sportsman's paradise.
Cordova is the perfect location for fishing, hunting, hiking, boating and the complete Alaskan wilderness experience.
