Why consider an ABA program for individuals over 5 years old? While it may be true that the best time to start treatment is at a very young age, and while most research has been done with very young children, there are many older children and adults who could benefit substantially from intensive behavioral treatment. An effective treatment plan can be established for any individual according to the age and developmental level of the person, taking into account the need for teaching functional and age-appropriate skills, varied reinforcer and motivational effectiveness, severity of disruptive and interfering behavior and realistic capability for achievement. For more information on ABA for an older child contact: http://www.autismpartnership.com The Eden Family of Services , One Eden Way, Princeton, NJ (609) 987-0099Peter F.
