Your Alaskan Adventure Awaits
An Alaskan Island Getaway… Kodiak Island is world famous
for huge Kodiak brown bears, world-class sport fishing, one of
the largest commercial fishing ports in the nation, and the magnificent
green that the island turns during the summer--which is why Kodiak
is affectionately called Alaska's Emerald Isle. Just off Kodiak
however is a little known secret. Island Retreat will let you
enjoy the true Alaskan experience while being close enough to
civilization to spend time in town during the days. Located across
from near island the 300-yard boat ride will bring you to your
very own private island.
 Island
Retreat is located on a privately owned island in the Kodiak Archipelago.
Our roughly 52 acres offers sandy beaches, horseshoe pits, kayaking,
volleyball court and two separate docks for easy access no matter
what the level of tide. You can also walk among deep moss, wild
roses, and spruce trees. Its inland roads that cross the island
will help you to discover our northern island paradise.
 From
Island Retreat, you can enjoy seeing whales around the island,
sea otters playing in the ocean, eagles soaring, puffins floating
on the water, and Sitka black tail deer that graze next to the
house. Low tide on Island Retreat reveals scores of tide pools
to investigate or search for sand dollars.
