What To Bring To Be a Happy Camper
Packing Guidelines:
Old Clothes
are best (almost out grown jeans are great!
Think warm! There are chilly nights!
Don’t Buy, Borrow
Label EVERYTHING!
Lost and Found will be at the Council
Make a list of what you sent to camp to remind you
Equipment list:
Jeans & shorts (at least two pair of each)

Shirts
with short and long sleeves
A pair of sturdy lace-up shoes (closed toe-we do not allow sandals at camp)
A
pair of “Water Socks” or old shoes for swimming
(separate from day-use shoes—they must have a sole, be closed toed and stay on
the foot.
Pajamas
Underwear and socks (enough for each day, please)
Raincoat or Poncho (garbage bags with head and arms cut out works too!)
Personal toiletries (deodorant, toothpaste, soap, shampoo etc.)
Light jacket or sweatshirt or sweater
Rain boots (optional but they are nice for rainy days)
Water bottle or Canteen (to keep girls hydrated !!)
Sunscreen
Swimming suit
Two Towels, One for swimming and one for showering!
Shower shoes (plastic thongs to be used in shower ONLY!)
Shower bag or bucket (to keep all their shower “stuff” together)
Sleeping bag (possibly a blanket or sheet in case it is warm)
Pillow
Baseball Hat for the sun
Sit-upon (waterproof cushion)
Small day backpack (school backpack)
Dunking
bag (this is a bag to hold dishes and is “breathable” so they can dry.
Orange or onion bags can work. (We have them for purchase at the council
office too!)
Mess kit if you have one, Plastic plate, bowl, cup & spoon and fork if not!
Flashlight
with extra bulbs/batteries, some girls like head lamps or free standing
“lantern type” lights (for night reading and letter writing)
Pen, pencil, notepaper/book, stamps, postcards
A laundry bag (so dirty clothing can go right into the washer.)
Insect repellent
Disposable camera
Books (we do have quiet/rest time)
Sanitary supplies if necessary
