In this picture, I'm placing tiles in thinset. I started out using tile spacers, but found I got better results by positioning tiles by hand. These glass tiles are a slightly irregular shape, much like a tumbled marble tile. The grout line between glass tiles is double the width of the grout line between a glass and ceramic tile, so I would have needed two different sizes of spacers anyway.
It's important to butter the back of the glass tiles before placing them in thinset.
