I built a pony wall on the floor, then placed it over the studs on the footing and tipped it into place.
As you can see from this picture, I had to jack one corner of the platform to bring it back to level (that's a floor jack under the outside corner of the platform). Then I had to lever the other end to provide clearance so I could swing the pony wall into position.
Once the pony wall was in place, I framed over the air plenum, then covered the frame with concrete board.
