The driveway excavation was completed in the summer of 2000, then allowed to sit a year in case the base settled. The light areas you see in this picture are locations that we spot levelled (about ¾" change in grade). The fully loaded delivery truck and the dump truck didn't make even the tiniest depression in the compacted D-1 of our unfinished driveway.
