Finished Product

Here's the finished product. Now the driveway apron and the pavers line up, and we can use the full width of our driveway for entry and exit.

I installed the 6" x 6" pressure-treated timber along the far edge of the new slab after the concrete hardened. The timber is held in place by three ½" x 24" pieces of rebar. The far end is half-lapped with the timber that runs parallel to the sidewalk. The timbers keep the topsoil and debris from sliding off the embankment and onto the sidewalk.
