Formatting Update
OK, I know that I'm probably messing with "the old lady from Shady Pines", but I've decided to update the look of our web site. Hope everybody likes it. Enjoy!
Happy New Year!
I am going to try to start updating this page more frequently this year. However, don't count on too much!
Life is going really well for us here in Valdez. We are really enjoying the winter here with all of the snow. Even though it means a bit more shoveling, it is less ice and less wind than Kodiak.
We had a good Christmas, and hope everybody else had good holidays as well. The kids are growing up faster all the time. Kasi will start Young Women next week, and is only about 1/4 inch shorter than I am now. Kenny is starting to shoot up as well, so I think it's only a matter of time before he starts getting his height. Chip is still a little guy, but is growing. He is now 19 lbs and almost 30 inches tall. Of course, he doesn't like to hold still long enough to get measured or weighed, so we get as accurate as we can.
Anyway, life goes on here. We are keeping rather busy and trying to stay healthy. I have to go to Anchorage next week to see a specialist for my pregnancy. My blood pressure is once again not wanting to cooperate very much. Kenny has to go get his retainer checked again too, so we were able to coordinate to only make one trip this month. They have also put us to work at church. I am now the Enrichment leader, so in charge of the monthly women's activity. Also, I am a Cub Scout Den Leader, so will be in charge of weekly activities for Kenny's age group. Brian is the Family History center computer specialist so is in charge of keeping the computers up and running and teaching people how to run the programs. Also he is the Cub Scout Committee Chairman, so will be in charge of the monthly Pack meeting and keeping track of all the awards and badges. They have also asked him to be the Assistant Branch Mission Leader, so he will be helping with the missionary programs here in Valdez as well. He should be kept plenty busy!
Well, as seems to be the case quite frequently here, I am off and running again. I have to get the homework done and get dinner ready so the kids can get to bed at a decent hour. I'll leave some pictures again.... enjoy!!
The family picture we had taken this fall
The kiddos
The snow outside of our dining room window as of January 4, 2005
And outside the living room. We feel like cave-dwellers!!
And the back deck. This is where Sasha's cable is to go outside. We have to keep shoveling steps for her to go outside!
Sasha gave up going to play with the neighbor's dog. The snow was just too deep.
