You will find that we are a church that is serious about the commandment Christ gave to go into all the world and make disciples. We support missionaries all over the world as well as all across the United States. We also help start churches here in Alaska. We believe that Jesus wants everyone to hear about His love and His saving grace. We believe missions is an essential part of living out our motto, "Touching Lives With God’s Love."

When you come personally to GVBC, you will find people who are working to live out their faith in the world around them. We aren’t all perfect; however, we are trying to let Christ invade our lives in such a way that He helps us become more of what we ought to be as Christians. He has touched our lives with His love and we want to share that love with others.

You will also find people who have discovered that faith in Jesus lives itself out in personal relationships. We strive hard to be a family together. Relationships are important; God created us to have a relationship with Himself and He made us to have relationships with others. If you are looking for a church where people enjoy one another, we invite you to come visit us personally. When you come, you will find we love Christ, we love God’s word, and we love to let others know that Jesus loves you and gave His life on the cross so that you can have abundant life.
