Valley Baptist Academy Preschool is a ministry of
Glacier Valley Baptist Church. It is our desire to provide a quality learning environment
for each child. Our children are our greatest investment of our time and money. They are
the future of our families, community and our nation.
VBA classes are small, and
teachers are assisted by aides. Parental involvement is welcomed in the classroom, but
parents are not obligated to volunteer.
To register, please bring
filled out application, registration fee and immunization record to the school office. For
more information, call 790-2299.

Spiritual
The spiritual goal of our preschool is to help each child develop an understanding of God
and His importance in his/her life. We want children to know that God is their Heavenly
Father who cares for them and to learn to respect and obey the teachings of the Bible.
Bible stories and verses are used in the classroom. Chapel is on Monday and Thursday.Social and Emotional
Appropriate social behavior will be modeled in the classroom. Children will be encouraged
to grow in their ability to work and play cooperatively with others, to show respect, love
and consideration for others, and to try new experiences and activities.
Physical
Provision is made for large motor activities on the playground when weather permits or in
the "gym." Classroom activities allow for movement during unstructured play time
and through the use of music. Opportunity for fine motor skills development is given
through art and table projects, manipulatives, and play.
Academic Skills
Children have opportunity to learn about colors, shapes, size relationships,
classification and patterning. They are introduced to letters and their sounds and to
numbers.
Science and math is taught through experiences
such as cooking, planting, building, painting and daily calendar.
Field trips are an integral part of the program. Examples
are: fire station, post office, DIPAC, a garden, Swampy Acres farm. Children also learn
from visitors, for example: about electricity and safety from AEL&P and about birds
from Raptor Center.
