Computer Help

Well, this is the place to find a few computer tips. At the bottom of the page (as this page comes along, it's not yet there), you will find the areas I offer on computer tips. Keep in mind that at this time, I'm offering tips on Widows 95/98.

The very first tip I will offer here, and will remain on this page is how to set your window size. I am offering this for several reasons. One, you will view my pages better if you have the correct settings. Two, most websites now use the same settings for their webpages too. Anyhow, it really is very simple to do. Click on the tips for a picture to see what I'm talking about. Please use your browser's back button to return to this page.

The first thing you do is right click on the "taskbar" and choose minimize all windows. Now right click anywhere on the desktop and choose Properties. Choose the Settings Tab, and set it to High Color, 800x600 pixels. Click apply then okay.

Now, your screen may (or may not) flicker for a moment. Also, if you've NEVER set your settings to this before it may tell you you'll need to restart your computer. This is for the first time change. After that, you won't need to restart it when you switch the settings. So, you can switch them at random. It only takes a few seconds to change these settings.

There will be more to come as I work on these pages. This is just the most important as our whole website uses this setting. Also, I don't have netscape so I don't know what the pages look like in another browser. I use MIE (Microsoft Internet Explorer) 5.0. It's a free browser and you can get it here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/.
