My Favorite Gardening Places.

I'm, as I've said before, an internet junkie. I've surfed the web over and over again and here are the best places on the net that I've found that pertain to Northern Gardening.

Probably the best place for articles on gardening in cold climates would be to Northern Gardening. This site is owned by Terry Lockey who happens to be a contributor to a Minnesota newspaper. Terry is a very seasoned gardener and has a ton of articles online for any of us to read.

Next I would have to say GardenWeb's Northern Gardening Forum. Everyone there is quite helpful. If you run into some of my posts don't laugh! I tend to sometimes ask ignorant questions. ;-) They have a Northwest Forum too but I can't say how NW it is.

I'm not one to advertise, but Denali Seed Company specializes in

cold climate seeds and though the website leaves a lot to be desired (I can't stand it!), I have to say I hear the seeds are great. I'm using them this year. Check 'em out!

Specific to Interior Alaska is the Alaska Cooperative Extension. They have a lot of publications online, but you must have the adobe acrobat reader to view them. The reader is free and you can get it by clicking here. One of the best ones I've found is the one titled Recommended Variety List for Interior Alaska (HGA-00030). Now that's information! They have many other great publications too.
