Phoenix Rises and Spreads its Wings

We jokingly considered changing the name of the church to the Church of the Phoenix since we had so much experience rising out of the ashes of fires, but we would never do that, because the Holy Spirit in our name has served us well.

Holy Spirit Episcopal Church rose again from the ashes, finally holding its first Christmas service in the sanctuary in 1999, three years late. With the Lord’s blessing, we hope to stay in one place and minister to our communicants and to our community. Our congregation is stronger than ever in faith and in the belief that we will listen to what God is calling each of us to do.
