This spring the remote village of Eagle, Alaska, suffered a devastating Yukon River ice flood. Among the many structures lost was St. John’s Episcopal Church. The only items that survived were the church bell and baptismal.

Holy Spirit will dedicate the proceeds from its annual Fish Fry fund raiser to the Eagle Church Reconstruction project. The Fish Fry will be Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Holy Spirit, 17545 North Eagle River Loop, Eagle River, Alaska. The cost will be a generous donation t o the Eagle Church Reconstruction Fund.

The Fish Fry Menu will include: salmon chowder, baked and fried salmon and halibut. potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans, French bread, brownies and vanilla ice cream, coffee, tea, and lemonade. 

All proceeds from donations to the fish fry will go to Eagle Church Reconstruction fund established by The Ven. Norman H.V. Elliott, Archdeacon of the Episcopal Diocese of Alaska.
