(Liturgical Lay Ministries)
Liturgical lay ministries include activities
directly related to bringing the church service to the
congregation. Opportunities for involvement
include: Acolytes,
Altar Guild, Music, Chalice
Bearers, Flower
Ministry, Lectors, Lay
Eucharistic Ministers, Oblationists, and Ushers.

Acolytes/Servers
Open to all individuals ages 6 - 96 who serve at main weekly services and special services carrying crosses, torches, flags, lighting candles, collecting offerings, and assisting priests during Holy Eucharist. Acolytes are expected to arrive early on Sundays and be vested and ready before services. All are welcome and training is available.

Altar Guild
Members of the Altar Guild prepare the chancel for services setting up supplies and
arranging furnishings as needed. They also care for the sacred vessels, sacristy supplies, and chancel furniture.

Flower Arrangements and Holiday Greening
We welcome members of the parish and community to
provide memorial contributions of flower arrangements for use on the
alter during Sunday services. Contributions are actively sought on
special holidays such as Easter (Easter Lilies) and Christmas
(Greens and Poinsettias). Please

Chalice Bearers/Lay Readers/Lay Eucharistic Ministers
(LEMs)
Many opportunities are available to those interested in assisting
with the church service Lay people are trained to serve as Chalice
Bearers during communion or Lectors who read lessons and prayers
during weekly and special services. Some may chose to also be
trained as Lay Eucharistic Ministers can conduct special church
services and deliver the sacrament of Holy Communion to parishioners
unable to attend service. If you are interested in learning

Music Ministry
Organist: Sabra Reid
Vocal and Strings: Wade Hampton Miller and Friends provide uplifting
music once a month to the 11 a.m. service.
Handbell
Choir: Director Open
Hand Bell Choir is open to all ages.
They play at various times at the 11:00 a.m. service and special services.

Ushers
Individuals responsible for coordinating seating, distributing service bulletins, collecting the offering and assisting with traffic flow during communion.
