Dear Friends, Fans and Curious Onlookers,
Holy Cow! Where did the summer go? Another Alaskan summer is soon drawing to an end, but don't worry people...autumn is great. You know, all those cool jazz tunes like "Autumn Leaves" "Autumn in New York"? Ok--it's supposed to be "April in New York"....whatever.
Let me assure you that jazz is still alive in Anchorage, and one of the great places to hear some good stuff is "I Luv Sushi". My buddy, Dirk and I play there several times a month and have a blast. The food is yummy and the atmosphere is fantastic.
As if my life as a "Jazzmom" to four kids wasn't enough, I have accepted the position of choral director at the largest high school in the state of Alaska--East High School. Go, Thunderbirds!!! I'm super excited about a new school year, and hope that you'll support music in our schools when given a chance.
I wish you all a wonderful fall, and invite you to any and all of my "public" gigs. It's because of you that performers like myself "keep doing it"!!!
