The City and Borough of Juneau elections are Tuesday, October 6th. Members are encouraged to vote for candidates for mayor, city council, and three school board positions. There are also two bond propositions, including renovation of Gastineau Elementary School.

JEA's PACE committee sponsored a candidate forum on Wednesday, September 30th to help members become better informed about the candidates.

JEA Representative Assembly Meets

Juneau Education Association has set their meeting schedule for the school year, with most Representative Assembly meetings scheduled for the first Tuesday of each month. Meetings will be rotated throughout the district.

Nominations Open for Delegate Assembly

Juneau Education Association is entitled to send approximately a dozen representatives to NEA-Alaska's Delegate Assembly in January in Anchorage. The period for nominating active JEA members to these important positions is now open. Contact JEA president Ben Kriegmont if you would like to nominate someone.
