JEA Policy

JEA is hopes to develop a policy guide to supplement our Bylaws Governing Document. This kernel of this idea gelled several years back. The idea intended for the bylaws to continue to be amended only by a vote of the general membership, but JEA policy would be developed and amended by a vote of the representative assembly. Since terms of office for our volunteer organization are only one year, the policy document would allow us to bring a little more consistence to our actions. Policy will address the day-to-day operations of the organization, such as reimbursement protocol, per diem, stipends, sick leave bank administration, whether or not to recommend candidates to the state PACE Committee and other day-to-day questions. While the policy guide has been on the back burner for a couple of years, JEA hopes to revive this effort and is looking for an energized member to take this project on.
