TRAVEL
Kathy and I have been to Kauai, the Garden Island of
the Hawaiian Islands chain, six or seven times now. We really love the
place and the fact that it is only about a six hour flight from Anchorage makes
it as easy to get to from here as anywhere.
We stayed where we always stay on the north shore at
Princeville and did all of the things we always do, most of the things we wanted
to do, some things we hadn't done in a while, and some new stuff. We relax
on Kauai more than anywhere we go and that's the best reason for going there.
Here are a few photos of what we did and what it looked
like when we did it.

We'll start this page with a great sunset shot by Kathy from in front of the condo in Princeville.

It's called Glass Beach because the old dump in the background washes into the ocean and glass gets ground up and deposited here.

An ancient and sacred hula site above Ke'e Beach on the norht shore of Kauai. Hawaiians still use it as a hula school and for dances.

It was't raining but we found this umbrella on Secret Beach and I felt like singin'.

Waimea Canyon was called the Grand Canyon of the Pacific by Mark Twain. It was cloudy, cold, and raining.

Kathy was learning how her new camera works. Wish I knew what all the flowers are but I don't.

There are some beautiful things in the ocean. Don't know what this fish is either.
