Jim came up here from Iowa in 1991 for a temporary summer job and never left!
He enjoys cooking - gardening -
canoeing - camping - fishing - photography -
homebrewing & winemaking - woodworking - and good
Blues music.

Marna came up from
Sacramento, California for a vacation
in 1997.
She also fell in love with Alaska and moved
up here for good 3 years
later.
|
|
Marna really enjoys Alaska and our long,
cold, snowy winters.
She is a fantastic cook - a great gardener - and enjoys camping -
creative writing - salmon fishing and exploring Alaska.
She has learned to make great homebrewed beer
and is a Blues music fan like Jim.

|
We met in September-2001 and became full time
companions.
Cooking great dinners - brewing beer - going to Blues clubs - exploring Alaska.
...we moved in together one year later and Jim proposed to Marna in 2003.

We were married on New Years Eve, 2004 in our
new home near Wasilla, Alaska.
