Registrations are being accepted for the Winter/Spring 2010 Semester which began January 4. Check out our semester class schedule and tuition information. We welcome students ages 3 through adult, all levels of ability. New students are always welcomed! Call the JDU office for additional information.
JDU AND JUNEAU STUDENT SYMPHONY CONCERT
Mark your calendars and don’t miss this unique performing arts opportunity! Several JDU intermediate and advanced ballet students will perform the Garland Waltz from Act I of The Sleeping Beauty and Carmen Suite from Bizet’s famous opera, Carmen, with live accompaniment of the Juneau Student Symphony. Concerts will be performed at the Juneau Arts and Culture Center on March 13 at 7:30 p.m. and March 14 at 4 p.m. A third outreach concert will be performed at Harborview Elementary School on March 15 at 7 p.m. The public is invited. Admission is pay-as-you-can for all performances.
ZOMO/PAPAGAYO CHILDREN’S BALLET
ZOMO THE RABBIT is a children's ballet based on an ancient West African Trickster tale. PAPAGAYO is our new children's ballet based on the ancient stories of a South American trickster parrot. Performances will be April 23 & 24, 2010 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 2 p.m. All performances will be held at the Juneau Arts & Culture Center.

FINE ARTS CAMP 2010
The JDU Fine Arts Camp will be held June 7-25, 9 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. at Harborview Elementary School with an optional fourth week at the Canvas. This exciting opportunity is for kids entering Kindergarten through 7th grade. NEW this year is a morning only program for pre-school students, ages 3-5 (class sizes are limited for this experimental program). From painting to judo to writing to theater to sign language—Fine Arts Camp has it all. In addition, the Boston-based Weber Dance Company will provide a three-week dance intensive at the JDU dance studio during Fine Arts Camp. This outstanding dance program will take place after the regular Fine Arts Camp hours. Look for the full Fine Arts Camp brochure sometime in March! Registrations will be accepted beginning April 1.
