The Second Plan

The Building Committee recommended Ventwood acoustic wood slat system on a hidden track.  It had very good acoustic properties for noise reduction coefficients and was totally appropriate for a church. Ventwood has since been bought out by Norton Industries, and here's the website for the product:  http://www.nortonceilings.com/norton.aspx?cgid=2&cpid=57. These acoustic panels were to cover the complete ceiling area. This plan was also dropped due to the cost (~$500,000). There was no consideration given to auxiliary speakers.
