Mat Valley Kitties is a network of volunteer foster homes. There are foster homes in Anchorage, Eagle River, Wasilla and Palmer. Note the contact information beneath the photos of those felines in which you are interested. To find out more about a kitten or cat, or to arrange a visit, contact the foster home. Please note most of these are home numbers, and be courteous timing your calls. For general information, leave a message at 841-7711 or call one of the foster homes.

Chuey (far right and right) and Callie (lower right and below) are in love with each other and must go to a home together. They are 4 years old, have all their shots, have micro-chips and their rabies vaccines. They do not like other cats. They are used to going outside in a fenced backyard, that is cat proofed with a special topper. They are used to small dogs.
If you are interested in having these two as your favorite feet warmers you will have to promise to keep them as indoor cats only, unless you have a similar set up where they can go outside, but not get away. They will not tolerate having any other cats in the house. For more information, contact Susan at 841-7711.
Chuey
Chuey is a neutered Norweigian Forest cat with a huge ruff, and a huge heart. He knows NO stranger. He insist on sharing your breakfast cereal, and whatever else seems Interesting, or smells good. He will reach out and grab you gently when you are walking by to try to get you to stop and pet him. If you want a snuggly, loving, purring, beautiful poof ball, he is the one. He does need to be combed, or he will get matted. He is used to getting a "lion cut" every spring. And he looks marvelously wild. He struts around like a peacock for some time afterward.
Callie is a spayed, gorgeous long haired calico with bright green eyes. She has a very sweet coy personality. She is madly in love with Chuey, and cannot stand to lose him in the house., meowing pitifully until he emerges from his sleeping place to see what it is she wants. Call Susan at 841-7711.
Callie
Leonine coat with a unexpected tattoo of white on her chest gives Zoey, a spayed female, a jungle cat appearance. She's got a nice personality and hopes to find a home with a family with the same. Contact Susan at 841-7711.
Jet black coat with funny white markings makes Patches, a neutered male, a large & handsome addition to any home. He came back to MVK when his family had to move out of state and could not take him with them. He's open to new offers. Contact Susan at 841-7711.

Mat Valley Kitties offers special pricing for adopting together siblings, mothers with kittens or other bonded pairs or groups. Adopting more than one feline will give your new family member a playmate when you are working or away.

Ginger, an orange marmalade tabby, has already hit some bumps in the road — literally. She fell out of a pickup on the Palmer-Wasilla Highway and suffered some pretty serious road rash, but she's healed now. She's got a big purr and some lovely swirls (see photo at right). She was born early to mid July. To meet Ginger, contact Susan at 841-7711.
Wildman is a tame kitten who wants to be wild. He is neutered and will let you pet him. He just runs around acting wild for unknown reasons. He's grown up now; a big guy. He'd fit in fine with a family. He just needs to get out of the cage. To meet Wildman, call Susan at 841-7711.

Contact Mat Valley Kitties Rescue
Mat Valley Kitties Rescue is a volunteer-run organization that attempts to find homes for kittens in the Mat-Su Borough and portions of the Anchorage area. It depends on the aid of volunteers and donations to do this important rescue work. It receives no government funding.
