Mat Valley Kitties needs your assistance
From foster care to donations, from office help to legal assistance, Mat Valley Kitties Rescue needs your talents and resources to help save the area's kittens from being destroyed because of neglect, abuse and overpopulation.

All of the Mat Valley Kitties Rescuers are volunteers. Neither Susan nor the foster families receive any monetary compensation for their efforts. They do, however, receive the perfect (purr-fect) reward.

Here are some of the many ways you could help. If there is any assistance you can give, please contact Susan Helmericks at 841-7711.
Volunteer to be a Foster Parent. Do you love cats? Maybe you have your own but can spare some time and space to foster a few visitors. Do you love cats but can't commit to keep one for years because of your situation? By raising foster kittens, you'll get to enjoy cats but won't have to worry about their futures if yours changes. Thinking about getting a cat but not sure if it will work out? Try fostering cats to see if this is the right time for you to raise a furry companion. There are lots of good reasons to become a Mat Valley Kitties Foster Parent. Contact Susan about becoming one.
Donate to Mat Valley Kitties Rescue, a nonprofit organization. All money received is used to feed and provide care and veterinary services for the kittens and cats in our care. Donations of pet supplies, food, veterinarian services, etc. are also appreciated.
You can donate to Mat Valley Kitties using your credit card or PayPal Account. Click on the symbol at left and help support this important work.
Volunteer other services to Mat Valley Kitties. Susan needs help in many areas, from transporting kittens to cleaning litter boxes; from making phone calls to helping at adoption days. There's also a need for help with digital photography of the intake kittens and for arranging fund-raising activities. For those with professional expertise, Susan needs help getting 501c3 status for the organization and veterinarian services are always needed. Other necessary services include webpage maintenance and publicity.
Volunteers are urgently needed to replace foster caregivers who have moved out of the area. Please contact Susan at 841-7711 to help.
Contact Mat Valley Kitties Rescue
Mat Valley Kitties Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization that attempts to find homes for kittens in the Mat-Su Borough and portions of the Anchorage area. It depends on the aid of volunteers and donations to do this important rescue work. It receives no government funding.
