Glacier/Wildlife Sightseeing
Alaska's majestic coastal scenery is known world-wide. Come and view some of the most beautiful landscape on earth. Watch in awe, the calving of glaciers, mountains of cold blue ice crashing onto the sea. The shoreline is created by a mix on towering rocky bluffs, dark forests down to the waters edge, rocky beaches and jagged rocky "islands." The variety of wildlife is staggering, on land, in the air and in the sea. Bald Eagles soar above the bluffs. Entire Seabird nesting rookeries can be seen on the craggy cliffs. Black Bear wander along the shoreline. Sheep can be spotted on the steep hillsides. Seals and Sea Lions hall out on the rocky beaches. Often Sea Otters are seen floating lazily on their backs on Resurrection Bay. Killer Whales, Dall's Porpoise and as many as 9 types Whales can be spotted in Cook Inlet and Kachemak Bay, providing the season is right.
