This supply list has the basic tools needed to be
successful in 4th grade.
- Backpack or book bag
- Gym shoes that can be worn as school shoes when
wearingg boots outside
- Pencils at least 2 and these should
be replaced as needed.
- Notebook paper, loose leaf, 2 packages (more will
be needed later)
- Spiral Bound Notebook (more as this is used up)
- Crayons (box of 24 or 64)
- Ink pen or fine tip marker
- Ruler
- Sturdy scissors
- Bottle of School Glue
- Pencil sharpener with case to collect shavings
- Water Bottle (probably the most important item
for staying sharp mentally)
We go outdoors to recess all year unless the wind chill
hits -10 below zero°. Winter gear is necessary to be comfy. Be sure
to have:
- Warm hat. Most heat is lost through the head.
Ear muffs or sweat bands aren't enough to keep warm. Ski masks are
ok as long as vision isn't blocked.
- Heavy coat. not a jacket during cold weather
unless you wear several layers.
- Snow boots are better that tennis shoes. No sandals
please, till spring.
- Mittens are better than gloves but gloves are
better than nothing.
- Snow pants are a good idea if you want them.
- Sweater or sweatshirt, if the classroom is chilly
for you. (not your coat)
Winter gear located now will make it easier when that first blizzard
hits in November. Its not necessary to bring it until winter. Please
put your name on all your things. They look just like everyone else's
things.
Special projects sometimes
require special materials. I'll post that here, near the top of the
