| The Geneva Woods Birth Center is located in the Geneva Woods Medical Center, in suite 102. This medical center is located in midtown, less than 1.5 miles from Providence Alaska Medical Center. Click on the following images to get a better look at our birthing facilities. | |
| Main\Living Area | |

Birth Centers are designed to provide a caring, warm, and homelike setting where you are supported and respected as well as safe and secure. Parents, children, and friends are welcome at the birth center, so you can choose who you want to be with or have near you as you give birth. |
| Kitchen Area | |
Our kitchen area and all appliances there are available to clients and their families during their stay. We encourage women to eat if they are hungry during or after labor. A CD player is also available for use, and families can play whatever music they want to hear during labor. |

| Shower | |

Our shower, completed in spring 2006 is a new addition to the birth center. The shower provides pain relief during labor, with some women even choosing to give birth in the shower. |
| Birthing Rooms | |

| Many women choose to give birth in one of our birth rooms on the bed, but as you can see, there are no hospital stirrups on these beds! We encourage women to change positions as often as they choose, in addition to using a variety of comfort aids like the birthing stool and birthing ball (the same kind as those used for yoga and pilates). | |
| Bathtub Room | |

| Our tub is big enough for two, and the underwater lighting and/or candles can be used to create a relaxing environment. See the “Hydrotherapy” page to read more about the beneficial effects of using the tub during labor. | |
