Now in our 94th year, Petersburg Medical Center continues to serve the residents and guests of Petersburg with up-to-date, quality medical services.
Our primary care clinic, home health service and long-term care center are fully integrated with the acute care hospital. Emergency care is available 24 hours a day.
Owned by the City of Petesburg, the medical center is a charter member of the Alaska Small Hospital Performance Improvement Network (ASHPIN) and the Alaska State Hospital and Nursing Home Association (ASHNHA).

Joy Janssen Clinic
Joy Janssen Clinic is Petersburg’s primary care center comprised of four
family practice physicians. Services provided at the clinic include routine patient care, such as general physicals, as well as focused care and testing including women’s health and obstetrical care, diabetes screening and monitoring, cardiac stress testing, holter monitoring, D.O.T. and sports physicals, osteopathic manipulation and minor surgical procedures; pediatric care is also provided. For patients who are under the care of a 
specialist, we are able to provide routine follow-up and monitoring of chronic or specialized medical conditions. In addition, we offer advice and therapy for smoking cessation and substance abuse.
In addition to the above services, in conjunction with Petersburg Medical Center, laboratory and radiology tests can be performed, as well as outpatient treatment services including specialized wound care,
chemotherapy, and IV infusion therapy.
